Italy’s first private high-speed train makes inaugural trip

Italy’s first private high-speed train, NTV, made its inaugural journey on Friday from Rome to Naples.
The company will provide services with Italo trains running at speeds of 360 km/h. The company hopes to take a bite out of the national state rail network’s market and gain an advantage with a pricing system where passengers can get cut-price tickets by booking early or travelling at off-peak times.
