Kazakhstan to implement measures to become the logistics hub in Central Asia

At a business reunion in Kazakhstan, the railway company (KTZ) has brought to discussion the importance of developing transport, logistics and increasing transit potential in the country.
The main agenda was the development strategy of transport – logistical system of the Republic of Kazakhstan, FEZ “Khorgos – East Gate”, the prospects for the development of ICBC “Khorgos”, aims and objectives of the Transport and Logistics Association KAZLOGISTICS.
The basic approach of this strategy has been approved by the Government, on the basis of what is now KTZ with the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Kazakhstan is working to establish common objectives (indicators) for all types of transportation services.
Vice-President of JSC “NC” KTZ “Logistics Erhat Iskaliev pointed out:” it is very important to hold such meetings between KTZ and the business community to launch constructive dialogue. This round table will be a new milestone in our communication. We are ready to partner with transportation companies to create a favourable logistics environment in the country. Need to combine business and government. We want to create long-term rules in logistics”.
The participants also discussed the adoption of measures for placing Kazakhstan on the trade map, as logistics and business development hub in Central Asia.
