23/05/2012

The railway link between Rotterdam and Poznan in Poland opened on Monday when the first freight train left the Polish city.
The Dutch end of the link opens on Friday with the first train leaving Rotterdam. The new link will carry three freight trains with 20 wagons and pulled by an electric engine in both directions each week.  This will save save about 80% on CO2 emissions compared to road transport.
