Moscow Metro to be privatised

Moscow Municipality is exploring the possibility of privatising the Moscow metro system, reported The Moscow Times quoting a document which covered the city’s urban planning up to 2025.
After privatisation, Moscow authorities would retain a control stake. The document has not revealed the exact moment for privatisation, but it is seen as a step forward towards the extension of Moscow’s infrastructure.
Last month, the municipality announced that the underground network will be extended by 150 km and 70 new stations by 2020.
