Romania: Ministry of Transport issues ordinance on public procurement transparency
Romanian Minister of Transport Ovidiu Silaghi has issued an ordinance on the transparency of public procurement organised and developed by the ministry’s specialized directorates, as well as by the units subordinated, coordinated or managed by the ministry.
Under the ordinance, the units have to post on the web site the situation of public procurement in preparation, of those underway and of finalized acquisitions, as well as the execution stage of the contracts concluded after the implementation of public procurement procedures.
Data update will be made any time a change will occur by the end of the day.
With this document, the Ministry of Transport “wishes to offer maximum transparency for all public acquisitions performed by its units, so as to encourage the participation of companies interested in any public acquisition procedure”, shows the ministry in a press release.
