Estonia: measures to limit the time spent at customs

09/07/2012

The Estonian state intends to start conducting the border control in the Tallinn-St Petersburg train in a moving train in order to save time, but this requires a law amendment.
An analysis has been compiled at the initiative of the interior ministry that finds out solutions to replace  the standing of trains for customs checks.
Currently the train stops for 40 minutes, but if the border crossing was simplified time could be reduced by at least half and hour.
